How to Prepare Koumiss – The Best Russian Natural Remedy to Threat Stomach and Digestive Problems

Koumiss is considered to be the most powerful Russian folk remedy that regulates the gastric microflora, so we strongly suggest you to prepare this recipe as soon as possible…


  1. Add 2 tablespoons of honey in a glass (8 oz) of hot water and stir well. Put the liquid in a large jar and add 2 tablespoons of kefir and 4 cups (1 liter) of milk. Stir well again, cover the jar with two layers of gauze and keep it in a warm place for 3 days. Then add a teaspoon of dry yeast, stir well and cover the jar.
  2. Once you notice some bubbles, your koumiss is done. Keep the jar in the fridge and drink 3.3 tbsp (0.5 dl) half an hour before your meals, three times a day. Repeat this procedure for 2 weeks.


If you are driving, do not drink koumiss before you sit behind the wheel, because it contains alcohol.
