You Might Be Destroying your Liver Even WITHOUT Drinking Alcohol

Even if you are not an alcohol drinker, there are other activities you are into that are still damaging your liver. 

The liver is an important body-cleansing organ in filtering out toxin, but other ways than alcohol could hinder your liver from performing its function. 

1. Inactivity

An active lifestyle causes your body to use the energy from carbohydrates more efficiently, reducing the amount that we need.

2. High-dose pain killers

Too much painkiller can damage the liver. When you take a painkiller for having hang over from drinking alcohol, this might be a double-threat to your liver. 

3. Processed food

Processed foods were treated with chemicals to prolong its life. These are often full of fat and preservatives which produces oxidative that cause damage to the liver. Consuming too many calories from fat and carbohydrates can lead to a fatty liver.

4. Slimming products and food supplements 

These products may have good health benefits to our bodies can also cause liver damage. Slimming products like Green tea extract, Lipokinetix and Hydroxycut increase liver toxicity as they trim your weight. 

5. Excess body fat

When inactivity and an overconsumption of processed foods join forces, it often leads to obesity that is closely linked with the liver disease non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). 

When too much fat accumulates in the liver, it swells that when left untreated, can lead to liver cancer, cirrhosis or liver failure.
